Britain shows how quickly the rules move. When age checks started on 25 July 2025, UK visitors were asked to create a new account and prove their age by card, phone, email or online banking, UNILAD Tech reported. In the US it goes state by state. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sued Aylo under HB 1181 in February 2024 and asked for up to $1,600,000 plus $10,000 a day. The site answered by shutting Texans out with a notice that "your elected officials in Texas are requiring us to verify your age," as MediaPost reported in March 2024. A state judge unfroze the $1.6 million suit in June 2025, Bloomberg Law reported, and Axios said in August 2026 that Texans still could not reach the site directly. Wikipedia lists Utah and a run of other states with age-check laws where the same withdrawal happened.

France went through a full blackout. Aylo cut access in June 2025, and since early June 2026 French visitors get blurred or barely explicit videos plus a notice that the site is not accepting new registrations in their region, Journal du Geek reported. Australia got a similar non-explicit version from 9 March 2026, ahead of new eSafety rules (PinkNews).

Older blocks still hold elsewhere. Indian ISPs were told to block 827 adult sites in October 2018, XXX Porn among them, and the company answered with the mirror site pornhub.net, TorrentFreak reported. Demand did not go away. Data from 17 March 2020, cited by ThePrint, showed India with the second-highest traffic spike that day, 18%, behind Hong Kong, and pornhub desi, indian porn videos, indian sex video, indian sex and india porn remain among the queries people use to reach the site. Safety improved under pressure. In December 2020 the site limited uploads to content partners and its Model Program, Vice reported, and in 2021 it began checking creators' identity through the firm Yoti. HTTPS has been on by default since March 2017. The record still has gaps. Proofpoint reported in October 2017 a malvertising campaign on the site that exposed millions of visitors to fake browser updates, and in December 2025 hackers stole activity data of some Premium members, although the company said passwords and payment details were not exposed (BleepingComputer).
